David Lloyd

Change of State, a song cycle for counter-tenor and piano, was composed by internationally renowned soloist Hao Huang.

It takes as text the book, Change of State, (Berkeley: Cusp Books, 1993) by the poet David Lloyd.

Its first performance was given on Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at 7:30 p.m. in Balch Auditorium at Scripps College, Claremont CA.

This performance featured distinguished Los Angeles countertenor Joseph Mathieu accompanied by Gayle Blankenburg, pianist with the Southwest Chamber Players and Scripps professor.
